Covid-19 outbreaks hit meat plants

Meat processing plants globally have seen new outbreaks of the coronavirus and scientists have outlined what could make the sector susceptible. Some health experts have suggested that close contact, such as in nearby living quarters, is a factor too. In Germany, where an outbreak at one factory infected over 1,500 workers, the government plans reforms of the sector on safety grounds.
